A Non-Fiction Poem

by Rachelle Estar Zerebeski and Vivian Zerebeski

You came here to be wise and smart
And learn something you hope,
Instead you came and found a poem
On how to tie a rope.

You take some hemp, you twist and turn
Until it stays together,
But if it seems that will not work,
I suggest you try some leather.

It's always good to know your knots
So you can tie with ease,
And if you find you're all tied up,
I beg of you, forgive me, please!

I know the feeling you're going through,
You thought you'd learned a lot,
But then your ropes got all mixed up.
Got it figured out? I'm 'a frayed knot'!!!

Don't forget what you came here for,
To read a couple of essays.
Don't lose heart, come back soon,
They'll be here in a matter of days.
