what i'll do

by Rachelle Estar Zerebeski

there's a mess in the house
and the girls are scrappin
the dog's barkin out loud
and the old man's nappin

and what can i do
to turn things around
to tune up the peace
and tone down the sound

but now i can't think
there's so much noise
and i've lost every bit
of my grace and poise

i'll soon lose my mind
be left totally confused
the room'll be spinnin
and the old man'll snooze

i collapse in my chair
and wonder what i'll do
when i become a mom
and a housewife too
