Unity in Paradise

by Rachelle Estar Zerebeski

The sun filters through the trees

And a large deer walks up

I caress it's soft head as I listen

To the playful cries of a wolf pup

The deer stands relaxed

And people gather nearby

Talking and laughing together

This unity is mine

I set my chin erect

And he does the same

I stare at his eyes

And I see that he is tame

I watch amazed as the deer walks off

To play with the pup peacefully

And this is all mine for me to share

This great and beautiful unity
